Lenovo vibe k5 plus which was launched in the summer. To begin with it’s specs are:

• 5 inch diagonal display
• full HD with a pixel density of 441 ppi
• ROM 16 GB and RAM is 2 GB
• Android 5.1.1 lollipop
• Chip-set is qualcomm snapdragon 616, octa-core clocked at 1.5 Gh
• Camera 13 mp(f2.2) rear and 5 mp(f2.8) front
• Battery 2750 mah (removable)

That’s the basic stuff. few things which I like about this device are: Aluminium metal back which gives a premium look, Dolby Atmos sound with dual speakers,  good enough camera, both front and back (nothing fancy here just okay), option to choose android launcher over the sluggish vibe UI, only a few bloatware apps(you can uninstall them anyway), support for VR headset( yes it has gyroscopic sensor), decent call quality and signal reception and a few other things.

Now the things which I don’t like are: above average battery life which lasts a full day of moderate usage only (Heavy users might get in trouble), No Volte support despite the device being launched only 6-7 months earlier, even a devices which costs 3 to 4k are Volte supported.  I don’t know why lenovo is not giving an ota update.

Update: just today evening I got Volte update. thanks Lenovo for your support !

And coming to gaming, the GPU is Adreno 405 which is just about fine. We can play almost all games in at least in medium settings. Some heavy games might lag here and there. The issue may be due to it’s high resolution(1080p).

Finally it’s strictly a mid range device for budget users. Not a champ in any segment but again not a let down either.well that’s all for now. I’ll update if anything else comes to my mind. Some cam samples…
