New wine in an old bottle!
Yes, that’s what I felt when I was watching the launch event of iPhone 7 on Sep 7 of this year. Apple has been an inspiration in mobile designing since the inception of its iPhone. Many companies take the cue in design aspects from Apple and build their phones. Even the mighty Samsung is no exception. But sadly on that evening when the whole world was watching with utmost curiosity about their new iPhone, Tim Cook revealed the new iPhone which looked exactly like the iPhone 6!! which was launched way back in Sep 2014. If some one is holding iPhone 6 or 6s or 7, it’s hard to tell which is which. You need to take a closer look to differentiate them. I mean how many users actually know what’s inside their phone, except a few details like the screen, camera, battery etc? Outside design matters the most for many users.
It’s true they made many changes to the new phone, like a whole new A 10 fusion chip-set, a new 12 mp dual lens cam, removing 3.5 mm audio jack and a new water resistant metal body. But then they forgot that one thing which made them unique; A new innovative design. Any way I hope to see at least the iPhone 7s could be with a new design..
